It is now five weeks since the 1st Earthquake in Nepal. A time to reflect and look back at the images i captured during the days leading to that tragic event. For me my life is some what back to normal, for the poor people of Nepal the long road to rebuilding their country and lives has only just begun.
I have spent sometime now working on my photographs from Nepal and managed to up load them on my website http://mrfcox.wix.com/binkphotography please take a look. The Nepal earthquake story is on the site too along with other features of how to help Nepal.
hi… i promised in my last post i would start to attach some of my Dubai street pictures… i am sure lots of people would associate Dubai with lots of bling… 5* hotels, iconic structures, palm island etc etc, but Dubai does have amazing, vibrant street life, especially in the old parts of town around the Creek area.
The image in this post was taken at the fruit market early one morning… the guys who work there are so nice and friendly.. i always try to chat with them and ask permission before i take any pictures.. they never say no and they really like to see the results in the camera display..
I have just invested in an instamatic lomo camera, the reason is to be able to give the guys an instant, little keep sake, to keep when i take their picture…
only me again… you may have guessed I am currently based in Dubai, which is an amazing city for photography.
For me it is all about the outdoors… i do luv the iconic buildings, as per the one below, but i also luv to be out in the streets capturing this very multicultural expat community.
Over the next few weeks i shall try to post many images from my Dubai collection… not just pretty buildings with nice sky, but some real street photography, so that you can get to know just what it is like in this part of the world…. keep tuned in… see you soon.
So… post number three… still feel like the new kid at school, but hey, this is fun… thought today i best put one of my pictures on here, since it is meant to be all about my images… anyway this is a shot i took in London last year… just though it sums up the place… busy, busy, busy… wet,wet,wet.. amazing city though.. one of my favourite locations for street photography..
just out of interest, i have posted this at low resolution cos i don’t know if people can easily use these images… are they protected..? any advice would be appreciated..
2015 is going to be a year when i learn ‘blogging’, i want to know what all the fuss is about… and see if it can be used for fun or whether it just becomes an extension of email and ends up a pain rather than pleasure..
I am a photographer, 47 years old and not really up to speed on social media… i have always loved photography, but never been a big fan of the digital era.. but in the last few years i have made a big effort with my digital photography, editing and website www.bink.photography
so here we go…. hold on.. i think it will be a bit of a roller coaster.
